DLP9000: Expand internal memory

Hello,

I need to use the DMD with a large number of images (more than 400) and with a high pattern update rate (greater than 1 KHz). The problem is that both the internal memory and the flash accept a maximum of 400 images and the video mode has a maximum frequency of 60 Hz. I want to know if there is any way to increase the memory to meet the requirements of my application.

    Daniel,

    Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E forums.

    This is a limitation of the current implementation of the DLPC900 controller.  At this time there is not a way to increase the storage beyond that number of binary patterns.  

    TI takes this and other similar requests into consideration when considering possible future improvements for this controller.

    Have you looked at the DLPC910 controller with the DLP9000X?  With this controller you would build and  be in control of the memory storage,  You would have complete control over building any grayscale sequences (solid state illumination modulation and pattern display times) and you would choose a front end processor and input data path.
