DMD didn't work after using for a period.

Phenomenon：after connecting power line and USB,the D8 and D9 lamps in the board are lighting,and D6 lamp twinkles,the "connected"option GUI is lighting,these phenomenons are same with normal condition.But the downside option stuck in "standby"mode,and can't switch to"normal"mode,and the"Opreating Mode"stuck in"Video Mode",also,we can't control the micromirror turning.

Hello again User,

It took a little longer to get back to this.

Something is disabling the DC-DC converter TPS65145(U1) since EN_OFFSET is pulled low. I agree that it seems to be working correctly.

Is the resistance measured in point #5 with or without the DMD dismounted (I assume without the DMD)? If so the value seems about right.

Can you see if the "Controller/DMD incompatible" Status box is checked?

It sounds like the DMD may have become damaged.

Have you touched or handled the board while it is powered up?

I am sorry for the inconvenience. How long ago did you purchase this kit?

Hello Fizix,

I used to change the angle of the board while it is powered up,but I'm sure I didn't touch the micromirror.

We purchased the DMD in around 2016.Is the problem serious?Is there an agent to repair it in China?If not,how long will it take to send to TI and repair and send back?

Hello Zhengxuan,

It is actually the controller board that should not be touched during operation.

Typically replacing the DMD itself will solve the issue. You should be able to purchase just the DMD.

I still have some doubts,what does the 'just the DMD'mean?The DMD board or the micromirror device?Would you tell me the model number?

Hello Zhengxuan,

The primary recommendation is never touch the board, especially the controller board, while there is power to the board.

If you need to re-arrange something on your setup, you should power down and remove the supply. Wait at least a minute before making the adjustments.

We do use a finger to carefully press SW1 while the system is running.
