Hello Liqing,
The Splash screen mode is just a standard video mode where an image is statically projected. Usually this would be used as a boot screen for a projector to show a logo. The Splash pattern mode is a Light Control mode that enables more precise control of the pixel input and output. See our FAQ here for some more information as well.
Thanks,
Kyle
So splash pattern mode use same images from flash with splash screen mode? Will splash pattern mode project several images or only one static image as splash screen?
Hi Liqing,
The splash pattern mode uses the images stored in flash and interprets them as (up to) 2 8-bit patterns for each image. You can switch between splash patterns; however, we don't have an exact frame rate specified that this can be achieved at as it's not very fast. We recommend external patterns or internal 1D patterns for higher frame rate applications.
Thanks,
Kyle
I have those tools and pdf, but it's only for TI EVMs, My system can not use those tools
All TI tools use TI EVMs, but some design is not same with TI EVM, so it can not use those tool directly.
Hello Liqing,
Could you please describe your system to me? I thought you were using the EVM. The GUI can still be used for most systems. If not we have a DLPC-API and the programmer's guide.
Thanks,
Kyle
I have read the DLPC-API several days, it only have sample to internal pattern, is there a splash pattern sample?
Hello Liqing,
In the DLPC-API the splash patterns are referred to as space coded patterns. These are the same thing.
Thanks,
Kyle
