DLP4500: Light Leakage

I am using DLP for 3D printing purposes in video mode with an HDMI cable.

When background in black, there is a shadow blue light on the screen (it looks like light leakage). As can be seen in the photo, background is black, but there is a shadow blue light.

How can I get rid of shadow blue light because it interferes my work?

Hello Alireza,

Are you the DLP4500 EVM from TI or are you using a different platform? Is this a new issue or have you had it since the beginning? If it's always been there it is likely an optical issue.

Thanks for your reply.

I am not sure about EVM, but I am using Wintech PRO4500 DLP light engine.

I didn't have this issue since the beginning.

Have you made any updates to the software? If not you may want to reach out to Wintech for support in case it is an optical issue.

When I faced this issue, I reinstall a brand new firmware, but it has not solved my issue.

Hi Alireza,

When you originally received it the projection was okay? Was it a firmware change that caused the issue? I understand at this point you tried a new firmware that is not fixing your problem. I want to understand whether this issue is firmware or optics related.

Hi Kyle,

I got the device 3 months ago and it was ok.

I didn't change the firmware and since I was using the device in video mode, most of the time, the USB cable was disconnected.

I changed the firmware after I faced the issue. I also have changed some of the settings, but it has not fixed the issue.

I believe that it is an optical issue, but I am welcome to install a new firmware or solution file you offer, or we can connect through the TeamViewer to check the software.

Hello Alireza,

Since the issue occurred without changing the firmware it sounds like this may be an optical issue. I would recommend reaching out to Wintech for support as they are the ones who manufacture your unit. Sorry for the inconvenience.
