Simulation of the micromirror array

Hi, all:

I am doing full-wave simulation of the micromirror array , so I have to set boundary condition of that.

As I know, the micromirror array is on top of a silicon substrate, I would like to make sure what is below the substrate? Does the substrate stands on a metal that I can treat it as a perfect conductor?

Best regards,

Fangjing

  • Hello Fangjing,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI E2E comminity.

I do not know the answer to your question, but I have put in an inquiry to see what I can learn.  When I get a response I will post it.

Many of the DLP staff are out for the Christmas Holiday here, so the answer may be delayed until the first week of January.

  • Hi, Fizix:

    Thank you all the same.

I will go on holiday for Christmas, so it doesn't matter I cannot get the answer until January.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  • Hello Fangjing,

Happy New Year to you also.

I have spoken with the modeling team that does this sort of work, and the problem is not striaight forward.

We have concluded that sharing the details necessary for such a model would expose proprietary details about DMD construction and operation.  I regret to say that we are unable to disclose this information.

    Sincerely,

    Fizix
