DLP660TE: When programming the bootloader with UM232H, erasing the first sector operation makes the software unresponsive.

Part Number: DLP660TE

Hi,

Since I previously overwritten the bootloader, I purchased the UM232H at your company's suggestion to re-download the bootloader for the DLP controller, but the software did not respond when I erased the first sector, so I downloaded the bootloader directly.. However, I found that when I try to download the ".img" file, I still prompted the UBS driver error. Can you give me some suggestions? Here are some related pictures.

Thank you very much.

  • Xin,

You will need to erase all sectors. There is a mistake in the user guide given with the tool that states to only erase the first sector, this will be corrected.
Also did you make sure to download the bootloader to both controllers?

If you still see USB communication error, then this means the bootloader was not successfully programmed.

  • Hello Oscar,

I do download the bootloader to both controllers. And I try to erase all sectors, but the program still shows no response.I have previously tried to install the DLPC442xJTAG Flash Programmer on some computers, but it can be installed but not run. The error is "An application could not be started because the side-by-side structure of this application is not correct. Regarding the details, Please refer to the event log of this application or use the command line tool, sxstrace.exe". I changed a few computers later, only three can run successfully, including win7 and win10 operating systems. But when I try to erase all sectors, the DLPC442xJTAG Flash Programmer becomes unresponsive. This problem has been bothering me for a long time, and almost no one around me has used DLP660TE. Do you have any after-sales in China or the United States? Maybe I can send the board and let you help with the repair? Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you very much!

    Xin
