DLPLCR4500EVM: light engine stopped working

I used lightcrafter4500evm to develop my 3D scanner. everything worked well.

just one day the projector did not turn on anymore. when I connect to the power supply, the green light turns on, which means the power goes through the device. but the light engine does not work. does not project anything.

had anyone has the same problem before?

Ali,

What firmware version are you using? Furthermore, did you change any system settings prior to the failure?

What steps are you taking during bootup?

Are you able to communicate with the DLPC350 using the GUI after power on?

No. I don't think I had any software/firmware updated or any system change.

Hi Ali,

Could you kindly temporarily short the header J18, power cycle the device and then try to flash the latest FW? If you are still not able to flash the FW after powercycling while J18 is shorted, it may indicate there is some HW problem in the board.

It did work!
As you told I shorted the J18, and flash the latest firmware. then it powered up and worked perfectly.
