What is the difference between DLP4710EVM-LC and DLPLCR4500EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4710EVM-LC, DLP4500, DLPC3479, DLPC350

Hello,

I'm a second year master student working currently on a project for my internship requiring an implementation of a structured light scanner and while searching for a suitable projector, I found the LightCrafter 4500 being used in multiple recent articles from different laboratories and when searching in the TI forum I saw the recommandation made by Vivek Thakur to Darshan Bhandari to use the DLP® 4710 Light control evaluation module. And so even after looking at both their description I am not sure of the specific difference between the two products, is the 4710 just a strictly better product ? or maybe do they have different purpose ?

On a side note I could not find articles on what to look for in term of characteristics for a projector in structured light so I'm guessing from what I have read that resolution, lumen (as the system will be used in a scene with ambiant light) and contrast are the principal one along with the type of projection but I could be wrong so if anyone has any reference on this subject, it would help me a lot.

Thank you for any response.
