DLP6500FYE: DLP 6500 flex cable

Dear TI support,

I have bought two sets of the DLP @LightCrafter 6500 EVM at different date. And I have re-assembled one cable as the attached picture named re-assemble cable one. Would you help to confirm whether this re-assembly is OK or not? And will it do damage to the DMD board or DMD chip? It will be appreciated if you can tell me the reason. Thank you very much.

    Hello Jing,

    The connection on the left kit (T65-1017-0700) in the first picture is connected strangely.  The contacts for the EVM controller board are on the same side as the controller itself, but the cable is going to the bottom side of the board.  The DMD end appears to be correctly connected.  I do not think that one will work!

    The connection on the right kit (T65-1219-0821) appears to be correct and looks the same as the image in the EVM guide on page 7:

    The lower picture of kit T65-1219-0821 alone does appear to be correct.  In this picture, is the cable from the T65-1017-0700 kit or the T65-1219-0821 kit? 

    Let me also ask, in the first picture, does the cable shown on kit T65-1017-0700  have the same markings on the backside as the cable on kit T65-1219-0821 shows on the topside?

    Hi Fizix,

    Thank you for your reply. The left kit (T65-1017-0700) in the first picture has the same markings on the backside as the right one does. But the connection of the left kit in the first ( (T65-1017-0700) picture  is just the same as the picture in the website refers to below:

    And also I want to know if the cable connection in the  (T65-1017-0700) is wrong, what will result in? And will it do damage to the DMD board or DMD IC chip? And why?

    Hello Jing,

    Could you remove the connector to the left kit (Controller Board - T65-1017-0700) and take a picture of the top and bottom side of the board?  I am confused by this.  It will help confirm if there is something strange here.
