Hi Team,

We've received a request from a customer for a diagram which show the incident beam and the reflected beam in the ON state of our DMD. Do we have a document or application notes which has an illustration of the incident beam and the reflected beam?

Hi Danilo,

An example of a light beam impacting a DMD mirror can be found in this video from TI DLP Labs. Around 1:30 is when an example of the DMD on/off state change in light. Another example can be found on page 4 of this application note.

Hi Chris,

I have shared these information to the customer. It seems it's not enough to visualize the beam direction from light source to DMD to the optics or light absorber. Do we have a more detailed illustration showing the angle of incident and reflections with respect to the on and off position of the mirror?

The customer is using ±17 degree tilt DMDs for their product.

Hi Danilo,

We do not have any public diagrams demonstrating this in full detail. In our DLP2010 DMD optical engine reference design document, there are details about the tilting operation of each pixel which can be used to create a diagram.
