I have a question about Pattern Ready Signal.

I use Free Running Mode and checked Pattern Ready Signal by oscilloscope.

By DLPC3479 Datasheet Fig.22, Pattern Data seems all time stable when display Pattern0 to N.

So I think the Pattern Ready Signal should be always Active when the Pattern is displayed.

But actually the signal is deactivated before display "PatternN-1".

Why is the signal deactivated before display "Pattern N-1" ?

I use DLPC3479 F/W V8.10.

Regarding my description, there is one correction below.

But actually the signal is deactivated before display "PatternN-1". "Pattern N".

Hi，Goto-san,

I just share you my findings!

The pat-ready is siganl is deactivate when reading the data in splash during pat sequence cycle which ASIC is busy to load data and can not accept any trig-in signal.

if your one cycle seq include > one patset. so the deactive signal wil happen at:

. issue out patstart

. patset switch

the signal interval is depend on your pattern content, like vertical, hori, 8bit, mono

As Eric correctly mentioned - the Pattern Ready signal becomes inactive before the completion of Nth pattern - this indicates to the user that no more patterns can be displayed in the current pattern set and hence the controller will either switch to the next pattern set (if it is available) or reload the same pattern set (if the internal pattern mode is configured to run continuously)

Also, since a certain time is required to switch from one pattern set to other - hence during this time the pattern-ready signal goes into an in-active state.
