DLP2010EVM-LC: DLPDLCR2000EVM or DLP2010EVM-LC

Hello, I wonder if DLPDLCR2000EVM or DLP2010EVM-LC can be synchronized with a camera by receiving or send a trigger signal?

In general I would like to do a similar thing in the link in your next email for DLP2010EVM-LC: Project a pattern and trigger a camera to capture that. Which way works better/easier, DLPDLCR2000EVM+ Beaglebone Black or DLP2010EVM-LC (more expensive)?

I think Beaglebone Black can send trigger signal to a camera, but how does the Beaglebone Black control the DLPDLCR2000EVM? Is it the case that my PC displays an image then the image is transferred to the DMD by Beaglebone Black through USB or HDMI? But how does the image update on the DMD will send out trigger signal? Is it possible to pre-store a few images in the Beaglebone Black and let it update the image on the DMD sequentially and sends out trigger signal? What is the max frame rate it can be achieved?

How about the DLP2010EVM-LC? Does it have a standalone control and trigger sending mechanism?

For light control applications utilizing pattern projection and camera capture the DLP2010EVM-LC is recommended over the DLPDLCR2000EVM. This EVM has an external trigger function. Thanks. I am wondering for a higher resolution version, 1080p, which evaluation module may work better for my application (synchronize the DMD and a camera), DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2, DLPDLCR3310EVM, DLPDLCR230NPEVM, or DLP LightCrafter 4500? How about some new model with 3840x2160 pixels? I also saw that TI had some introduction for DLP Pico products for AR applications in 2016. I wonder if there are any links for these glass and are they available in the market now? Thanks.

Your application is requires the features supported by Light Control product. For 1080P resolution, We will recommend DLP4710EVM-LC.

AR application - Our Pico display chipset mainly DLP2010/DLP3010/DLP230GP and DLP4710 are targeted for AR application depending on use case and requirement.

Currently, TI does not have a purpose built EVM for AR. You may want to reach to our echo system and third party partner for AR solution available through them.

Thanks, Vivek. I wonder if the lens can be removed and the DMD is exposed to our customized illumination? The price in TI seems lower than the distributers. I wonder what the lead time could be. Thank you very much.

Also, can these DMD's be triggered or they can only send out trigger signals? Is it possible to sync two DMDs? Thanks.

Yuanzhi,

In the Internal pattern mode of DLPC3479 controller (DLP4710EVM-LC), it is possible to send the triggers to the controller via Trigger_In signal. Kindly refer to the DLPC3479 datasheet for more information related to this.
