DLPC3435: Internal Register map

Part Number: DLPC3435
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA2005,

Hello,

I'm developing a system with DLPC3435 and DLPA2005 and I need to access internal registers for DLPC3435.

I have found that you can use these CMD's to access internal registers:

1) Write Internal Register Address (0xE5)

2) Write Internal Register (0xE6)

3) Read Internal Register (0xE7)

Is it possible to get from you the internal register map for DLPC3435 ?

Best regards,

Eriks

  • Hi Eriks,

    Welcome to TI E2E forums and thanks for showing interest in the DLP technology. Can you please us know why do you want to access the internal registers of controller?

    Regards,

    Mayank

  • Hi Mayank,

    It's for an application specific firmware generation. Some of the stuff we would like to do with data passed from DLPC3435 to DMD cannot be set by DLPC3435 datasheet registers . So I would like some kind of internal register map , to check if It's possible and what we need.

    If you don't want to share it publicly, you could e-mail me directly the internal register mapping.

    Regards,

    Eriks

  • Hi Eriks,

    Would you be able to be more specific with the commands that you would like to issue that are not available on the DLPC3435 datasheet registers?

    It is unlikely that we will be able to provide an entire internal register map, but we may be able to help you meet the needs for this application.

    Regards,

    Austin

  • Hi Austin,

    For example, we would like to configure DLPC3435 to allow us to use a custom dead time , for example 350us.

    Also , i checked the available FW image and found these CMD's in intitial batch file section, that is ran on startup.

    Write Internal Register Address (0xE5) -> E5 60 22 00 40

    Write Internal Register (0xE6) -> E6 01 00 00 00

    What does these CMD's do ? Could you explain ?

    Regards,

    Eriks

  • Eriks,

    The internal register map for this chipset is not available. I apologize for any inconvenience.

    I have sent you a friend request on E2E to help advise alternate solutions to your problem.
