DLP9500: RESERVED_FC/FD/PFE/STM/AE pins

Part Number: DLP9500

Hello,

I could find RESERVED_ pins in DLP9500 reference schematic(DLP012A-001_SCH.pdf). Where is the descriptions?

Regards,

Uryyy

  • Uryyy,

I will need to look at the schematic.  As long as the data sheet describes what should be done with them (i.e. pullup, pulldown or float, then it should be fine.

Typically these kind of reserved pins are for low level testing.

  • Hello Fizix,

Sorry for my typo as "I could found", correctly "I could not find". Here is the schematic.

  • Uryyy,

You are correct, the six reserved pins listed on page 12 of the current DLP9500 data sheet ( DLPS025E) do not show up in the  schematic.  I have rev B of the schematic but it is the same and does not contain these pins.

This will take some inquiry to our DMD team.

  • Hello Uryyy,

It appears that these were not included in the design to accommodate the thermal interface, but these are not to be used by end customers and should be left unconnected.  However, the pads on the DMD should not connect with any electrical signal, including ground.

We are looking at including these in the pin table of the DMD data sheet.
