Hi,

I would like to know how the DLPC3479 uses Flash.

The datasheet describes when the DLPC3479 reads data from Flash.

(reading configuration data at startup, reading pattern data used in Internal Pattern mode, etc.)

Does the DLPC3479 read any configuration data from Flash other than the above?

Also, does the DLPC3479 write any temporary settings to Flash during normal operation?

Goto-san,

The description above is correct with a few things left out. The DLPC3479 reads data from flash in the following circumstances:

> Reading configuration data at startup

> Reading pattern data used in Internal Pattern mode

> Reading splash image data when changing splash screens or setting input source to splash screen

> Reading Look information when changing Looks

Thank you for your help.

I understand under what circumstances the DLPC3479 reads data from Flash.

In the datasheet, I could not find any description of the DLPC3479 writing data to Flash.

Does the DLPC3479 never writes data to Flash ?

Goto-san,

The DLPC3479 controller will never write in to the flash during normal operation. The only time controller writes to flash is when you use controller through I2C command to program the flash image.
