DLPA3000: Connection for converters not used

Hello,

We don't use some converters.
Do you have any recommendations in these cases.

We don't use PWR3, should we connect PWR3_VIN to GND or keep it not connected?

Similarly, for PWR5 and PWR7, should we connect the PWR_VIN pin to GND or keep it not connected? Same for FB pins?

In the same logic, we use only a single LED. Should we connect the unused switching channel to GND or keep it not connected?

Hello Yoann,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology.

The PWR lines will need to be connected on the DLPA3000 as you can see in the DLPA3000 reference designs. Otherwise, the system will likely kick back an error message.

Which LED switching channels are you referencing here? The two LED_SEL lines will need to be wired as seen in the reference designs. If you mean the LED cathode channel switches, these will cause an error if that LED channel is enabled. Keep in mind that these channels are enabled by default at power up.

Yoann,

In that case, these would be the LED cathode switches that I mention above. If left disconnected and the LEDs are enabled in the firmware, the PMIC will flag the disconnect and not complete its booting process.

Hello Yoann,

We do not typically review full schematic designs through E2E. Instead our clientele uses a reference design for their chipset and we assist if any issue arises or a clarification is needed.

The reference design for the DLPC3478 chipset can be found here.

I havn't seen a reference design for an application with the DLPA3000 and DLPC3478. That's why I asked for a possibility to review the schematic on the relationship between these ICs.
