DLPDLCR2010EVM: For Replacement

Team,

Our customer is asking for a replacement of his DLP board. He used a Raspberry Pi 5V 3A supply with center positive barrel jack connector. LED turned on but nothing happens when he switches on/off the switch. Attached are some pictures sent by our customer.

For your approval if this is a candidate for replacement.

Hello Christian,

Welcome back to the E2E forum.

This EVM may be lacking the firmware necessary to boot.

Is your client able to flash the board with the base firmware? This can be downloaded through the firmware selector tool.

Hi Austin,

Thanks for your response.

As based from our customer, he first used a 5V 2.5A supply and then a bad smell came out like a burning part. Then he used a Raspi 5V 3A supply in case that there is a need for extra 0.5A. The LED turned on but the unit does not power on. He tested both supplies and are both outputting 5V. He would still try the firmware download suggestion. I will keep you posted for any updates from the customer
