DLPR410: Can DLPR410A replace DLPR410?

Hello,Everyone.

I have a board used to driver DLP9500 DMD, it has worked well for several years. We have used several hundreds boards on our products,and it worked well. Now, We used DLPR410AYVA to replace DLPR410YVA, then The image on the DMD is wrong. I have tried several board, the result is same. is DLPR410A not compatible with DLPR410? What should I do to adjust this change,Thank you.

    Hello Tony,

    Thank you for reaching out.  The updated PROM should work fine with the DLPC410 FPGA.  There are a few subtle differences, but these should not affect the images on the DMD.

    Could you please describe the differences you are seeing in the patterns on the DMDs?

    Hello,Fizix,

    Thanks for your reply.The image seems bigger than normal image(X/Y Direction).When I read the latest DLPC410.datsheet, I found something updated than before,especially LOAD4 was added to this document.

    For our board,DDC_SPARE0 is just connected between User FPGA and DLPC410,no pullup/pulldown, So,I add DDC_SPARE0 in my user logic,and let it always equal '1', and the problem is solved.

    Tony,

    Very good sleuth work!  Yes when load 4 was added, an unused pin from before was enable to allow turning load 4 off and on.  I am very impressed you traced this out.
