DLPC900: Can I use I2C1 (J14) for host communication in DLPLCR6500EVM?

Hi,

As I stated in the title, I'd like to know if I can use I2C1 (J14) for host communication.

I need to control the EVM using Raspberry Pi, but would like to use I2C1 instead of I2C0. Can you let me know if it's possible and if so, how to use it?

I tried to find I2C address from Raspberry Pi using (sudo i2cdetect -y 1), but can't find any slave I2C address.

Hi Yun,

J13 is the I2C Port 0 dedicated for communications to DLPC900. [Pin 1 = SCL, Pin 2 = SDA, Pin 3 = 3.3V, Pin 4 = GND]

Make sure to set proper slave address before initiating communication.

Please refer to DLPC900 Programmer's Guide.

Thanks for your response, but my question is if I could use J14 for host communication since I can't use J13.

Hi Yun,

J14 should not be used for communicating with DLPC900.
J14 is used for programming EDID.
