Binary frame rate

Hello there. I am interested in the LC for my project, but I have some questions about it. What is the fastest rate at which we can display static binary images, and that we can actually set up from the control SW? Also, same question but with the video streaming input (HDMI-DVI). I understand the .55 chipset is capable of 5K binary fps, can we achieve that rate with LC by any means, even if it implies developing an expansion card and/or our own code that use any DLLs you provide, in other words is there an SDK available? Thanks in advance.

First of all, welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E community.

Yes, the software is capable of 5K binary frames per second (bfps) using the SW GUI control provided with the kit. You can load up to 960 images in the set. To clarify, it is not possible to send in a continuous stream of binary images at 5K bfps. The video is designed for 60 fps RGB 8-8-8.

If you were to develop your own board based on the chipset, you should be able to achieve 5K bfps continuous input.

The DLL that the API reaches into is provided with the LC kit when it is purchased.
