Hi,
I am currently working on DLP4500, and now, I would like to change the current flex cable which connects the control board and the dmd into a longer one. I am wondering if TI offers any solutions to this, or whether I can simply buy a longer one myself.
Thanks
Sincerely,
Allen
Hi Paul,
I am looking to extend the flex cable length too. Our optical design is quite packed and we would like to put the DLPC350 board away from the optical path.
I have been browsing through the forum conversations and I have a few questions:
- In your e store you offer a flex cable (image below) called DLP5500FLEX. I would like to know how long it is? and if it messes up with the DMD-dlpc350 board connection?
- My other question concern the "DLP® LightCommander™ Development Kit: Extending the Connection Between the Controller Board and the DMD Board" [http://www.ti.com/lit/an/dlpa028/dlpa028.pdf] report. They mention that the extension can be done with two lengths, 5.2" and 12.2". This last one would be great for us. I wanted to know if we would have any connection issues with this extension (between DMD and dlpc350 board) or if it has been tested by TI and it is one of their solutions?
Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,
Elena
Hi Elena,
For our LC4500 Drive board, we link the C350 with a small DMD board using a flexible cable. This allows the electronics to be located away from the optics. Although the standard cable is only ~2" long, we also offer an optional 30cm cable.
