USB driver issues and unable able to flash firmware

I was getting an error while trying upload default firmware to the my DLP Lightcrafter 4500. The error I was getting was: Unable to read flash manufacturer ID.

In order to troubleshoot the issue, I came across one solution where the user suggested to uninstall and reinstall USB drivers. Unfortunate I did something wrong in the Device Manager of my Windows 10 PC.  After uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers, DLP is not being detected by the the GUI program. When I launch the GUI program, it says my DLP Is not connected. I am pretty sure the USB drivers are installed.

Please help.

  • Use another computer to connect to the hardware. If it is able to detect and connect then still there is a problem on your Windows 10 machine else you might have corrupted the flash and you are not able to boot the board. Just in case try using another USB cable.

  • I have been using another PC to upload the firmware. Until now my second PC was able to properly upload the firmware, but now once again I started running into the "Unable to read flash manufacturer" issue. I think there is something wrong with the GUI software. I also tried redownloading the GUI software, but the link on TI's website does NOT work. www.ti.com/.../dlplcr4500evm
