RoHC support in PA

Hi,

I am looking for information related to RoHC support in Packet Accelerator of C6670.  The TMS320C6670 data manual says that L2 user plane PDCP (RoHC,Air ciphering) is supported by the Packet Accelerator of Network Coprocessor.

But the specific documents of NETCP (sprugz6.pdf) or PA (sprugs4a.pdf) does not mention anything about RoHC.

Where to find further details about RoHC on C6670? Please help.

    The statement at the data menu may be a little misleading.

    "Packet Accelerator Enables Support for  Transport Plane IPsec, GTP-U, SCTP, PDCP and  L2 User Plane PDCP (RoHC, Air Ciphering) ..." does not mean that the PA implements the full stack of those protocols such as GTP-U and PCDP, in stead, it helps accelerating some portion of those operation such as classifying the GTP-U traffic based on Tunnel ID and etc.

    You do need to refer to the individual module document and user guide for details. The PASS supports RoHC transparent mode operation by enabling PASS to insert a zero in front of GTP-U payload. It does not support the full RoHC protocol at this moemnt.

    In this earlier reply, it is mentioned as, in PA doesn't have the full RoHC protocol support.

    If the TMS320C6670 processor partial support of RoHC, please let me know what are all the profiles are

    supported in TMS320C6670 ?

    The PA LLD and PASS does not support RoHC algorithm. The PA LLD and firmware does provide the capability to insert an 0-byte in front of the GTP-U data payload to indicate that it is a transparent (non-compressed) packet by invoking the pa_CMD_PATCH_DATA command.
