Question about 6678 BootLoader PG2(PG1 also).

Why in BootROM_c6678_PG2.0 (processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Keystone_Device_Architecture) all sourse about c64x. It's right? Not quite clear. Or  I'm missing something.
Thanks,
Leon.

  • Hi Leon,
The C6678 DSP architecture and bootloader source are derived from C64x architecture.

The TMS320C66x is the next-generation fixed and floating-point DSP. The new DSP enhances the TMS320C674x, which merged the TMS320C67x+ floating point and the TMS320C64x+ fixed point instruction set architectures.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you.
  • Hi, Raja.

If I understood you correctly I can use 6678 BootLoader PG2 for my c6678 board and it is checked and approved by TI,

despite the fact that everything is based on c64x.

Why, I ask? I tried the simple example and it's not working.

    Thanks ,

    Leon.
