[K2G] Audio loopback with AUDK2G

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AUDK2G, TMDXIDK5718

Hi,

I noticed the latest ProcSDK RTOS supported AUDK2G. Please take a look at release note:

New Features

  • Hardware support
    • AM571x Industrial Development Kit (TMDXIDK5718)
    • K2G Audio Daughter Card (AUDK2G)

I found some code related to AUDK2G in C:\ti\pdk_k2g_1_0_3\packages\ti\addon\audk2g, but it seems the driver code for controlling ADC/DAC and other chip. I generated all of CCS project by pdkProjectCreate, but I could not find any example projects for AUDK2G. I assumed you would have example code just like audio loopback similar to MCASP_Audio_evmK2G_c66ExampleProject (it is audio loopback with AIC31 on K2G EVM). Any suggestion ? Do you have a exact plan to support such example code in the future release ?

Best Regards,
Naoki

  • Hi Naoki,

We don't have such information. I've forwarded this to the design team, their feedback will be posted here.

  • Naoki,

The current SDK doesn`t have an audio daughter card example for K2G but has made an incremental update to provide the driver library to connect to audio daughter card. The example for the audio daughter card is planned in the future PrSDK release that will support the Audio SDK release later in the year or early next year.

I will post an update here when this example is available.

  • Hi Rahul,

Thanks for your reply. Let me confirm one thing. Did you mean Audio SDK was so called 'PAF' and it was planed to release for everyone later in this year or early in next year ? My current understanding is that PAF (processor_audio_sdk) is only for limited audio users (I also have) and not generally available for catalog users.

    Best Regards,
    Naoki

  • Yes, audio SDK will contain PAF and is planned for release later this year or early next year.  This is only for limited audio customers and not generally available but the integration of example for audio daughter card in Processor SDK RTOS will happen when the planned audio SDK is ready for release.

    Rahul
