66AK2G02: SYSOSC Single Ended Input - Clarification of documentation needed

Part Number: 66AK2G02

Hello,

SYSOSC_IN for the K2G is said to be able to be configured as a single-ended oscillator input for sourcing the main PLL clocks from an external oscillator.  In this configuration, it is unclear what the allowable input voltage ranges are.

The supply for the pin is shown as DVDD18, and the I/O Voltage is shown as 1.8V; however, there is mention of a "3.3V Mode" in Table 5-14.

Is this pin 1.8V only, or can it be driven by a 3.3V source?

Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

SYSOSC_IN is System Oscillator OSC0 Crystal Input and LVCMOS clock Input. Functions as the input connection to a crystal when the internal oscillator OSC0 is used. Functions as an LVCMOS-compatible input clock when an external oscillator is used.

It is powered by DVDD18 and it is an 1.8V. See Table 4-1. Pin Attributes (continued) in the device Data Manual.

    Best Regards,
    Yordan
