Recently,I researched some details about DM8127 and then drawed the data flow on
DM8127 below:Did you agree with me?
sensor(ccd or cmos) send data to ISIF(CCDC)
step2:
VPSS_M3 basically include IPIPE (perviewer and resizer).But I didn't know whether
VPSS_M3 involved ISP and H3A module.Because DM368 didn't support hardware H3A
VPSS_M3 can do things like below,
Format convertion ,for example RAW to YUV420sp
Previewer Convert RAW to YUV422
Resizer implement resize operation and convert YUV422 to YUV420sp
Previewer also can implement GAMMA correction and so on.
step3:
after VPSS_M3 ,data flow can be devided two parts.
one part ,yuv420sp was given to VIDEO_M3 for encoder like H264 or JPEG,MPEG4.
the other part . data was given to DSP_C674x for video analytics.
step4:
Finally,two parts could be merged and sent to CotexA8 .As far as I know .CotexA8
was the master .it recieved processed data from VIDEO_M3 or DSP C674x and then
sent them outside.the processed data could be sent through network or be storaged
on hard disk.
