The customer has decided to pursue reuse of the DM388 to leverage existing design experience and activity.

The did ask if there were any additional documents (besides DM and TRM) that outline more specifically how to further optimize for low power operation. Suggestions on both the Linux software side as well as any other hardware considerations would be most applicable.

Customer has indeed decided to pursue reuse of the DaVinci family for these new generation designs. DM388 low power operation, perhaps in conjunction with some of the low power that 3rd party PathPartner can offer, should suffice. And for higher performance applications, still leveraging the software investment, the DM8127/8148 can be considered with the additional DSP capability.
