Dear Sirs,

I make first steps with dual core and TI DSP processors.

Could you give some information, maybe some link how to use DSP under Linux executed on ARM? The small example C source code it would be great for me.

I perfect case I want to get data stream from SPI, make some data processing under DSP and return data to the Linux for future processing.

I have spent only 8 hours to learn different documentation... for me it is just a mash... I haven't rapper point with out simple source code...

If you have small tutorial - I will be grateful.

P.S. I have already adopted Linux functionality to my board. Just question of DSP integration is open.

I am also not aware where such guide could be found.

There is something similar here:

and though it could contain some hints, it is for different platform and it is probably outdated.

It is likely that you already have made some progress, so I think it is suggested to post your DSP related questions in the

C67x Single Core DSP Forum

Hi,

Yes, it is outdated :) The DSPlink is not supported on DM8148. The following components should be used:

syslink: to communicate between A8 and coprocessors (DSP, VPSS M3, VIDEO M3)
sysbios: real-time operating system running on coprocessors
ipc: interprocess communication lib (used by syslink)
xdc
DSP and Cortex M3 ARM compilers

You can download the components from TI (except ARM compiler, it is part of CCS). I think the best starting guide the syslink examples.
