For our application, we decoded H.264 video at 1080p from a network camera, and need to display it on the screen. Potentially this image comes in upside down, so we need to be able to perform a 180 degree rotation. We are using gstreamer, and our pipeline includes omx_h264dec, omx_videomixer, and v4l2sink.
The VPSS user's guide on the TI wiki mentions that rotation is available using the V4L2 ioctl, but that is unimplemented in the ti81xxvo driver. Is there any way I can convince the HDVPSS to output a rotated image? Are there any other gstreamer filters which will perform a hardware accelerated rotate? Or do I need to insert my own filter into the pipeline which uses EDMA to copy/rotate the buffer?
Thanks,
Nick Reed
