Hi All.
We have a custom DM8148 custom board with SFP interface connected to a phy that supports SGMII/1000base-X that is connected to CPSW Mac using RGMII (dual-emac).
We have sucessfully managed to bring link up on some 1000base-X fibre modules. Now when trying the CAT-5 modules, some are SGMII and some are SerDes.
example: 
The SGMII moudles are working. but when i Plug the SerDes modules, I see no link coming up?
Is this a board issue or a phy issue? Is anything special needs to be done in the board level to support all SFP modules??
What is the difference between them and what needs to be done to support both types in one single SFP interface? Couldn't find any info elsewhere. please help :)
