IAR Fails to find Launchpad

Im running Windows 7 64bit and IAR composer and it cannot find the Launchpad i installed drivers correctly but when i assign FET debugger the Launchpad Com port is already in use i cant seem to find any programs that would be using the com port any suggestions?

Did you ever install Code Composer Studio, and if you did, which version did you install. A while back, I installed the first release of Code Composer Studio v4, CCSv4.0.0, and afterwards when I tried to use IAR I was not able to get my computer to recognize the FET debugger. I tried a lot of different things, but was never able to correct the problem until I reinstalled my operating system. I recently installed the newest version, CCSv4.2.0, and the driver issue seems to have been corrected because I am still able to use IAR.

Hi,

be shure to use the latest edition of the IAR Kickstart IDE (http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/iar-kickstart.html). Install the software and THEN plug in the Launchpad to your PC (don't do it the other way around).
