USB TLL module reset

I am trying to initialize the EHCI module and plan on using an external PHY on port 2.

I will be using ULPI interface so the TLL module will be in BYPASS. My question is do I still need to reset the TLL module i.e. enable TLL module FCLK and ICLK, soft reset etc. or can I just enable USB clocks and reset the UHH.

i.e. never touch the TLL module and leave everything (clocks) off?

I'm also trying to init the EHCI module for connection to an external PHY on port 2, but having consistency problems reading PHY regs via INSNREG05_ILPI. Have you gotten any further?

I have the EHCI USB now running but I sill have a question as to wether I even need the TLL enabled (clocked) as I am using external PHY with TLL bypassed.
