Hi RandyP,

Can the audio port on the LCDK be used as a general purpose A/D converter? If yes, what's the highest sampling rate and resolution?

Hello Bill,

To my opinion, you can use the Audio IN port in the LCDK as a general purpose A/D converter. The LCDK has TLV320AIC3106 audio codec, you can check its specifications and ensure it meets your requirement.

Many thanks for your reply. A further question: I have 24 analogue signals of low changing rate (~1ksps), is there any way to use the single audio ADC channel to sample the data in?

Hello Bill,

Since the Audio codec available in the LCDK is stereo codec, you can maximum connect two analog signals into Audio IN port.
