In section 9.2.1.6.3.1 of the DM8148x Tech Ref Manual, it says that the RGMII interface does not support MII mode. What does this mean? Does it mean that the RGMII interface can be used only at 1 Gbps?
I'm asking because we've been trying to get the RGMII interface to talk to a Broadcom 54610 PHY at 10 Mbps on a custom board. tcpdump shows correct incoming frames from a live ethernet, but every attempt to transmit a frame produces a Carrier Sense Error reported by the CPSW_3G, and nothing makes it out onto the ethernet.
