Year 2038 problem in embedded Linux?

Dear Champs,

Is there any plan to solve 2038 year problem like below?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem

As you know, there is an limitation in embedded Linux system time not to present time after Jan/19th/2038yr, and my customer want to know if we have a plan to solve this.

Could you please let me know if we have any idea on this?

Thanks and Best Regards,

SI.

  • Hi, SI,

Which specific platform are you referring to? From the link, it seems that there isn't a solution for 32-bit machine. For Linux, it will depends on if Linux open source forum can come up a solution for 32-bit machine, and if it has, then an upgrade needed.
