ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-02.00.02.11-Linux-x86-Install.bin does not boot

I installed on my host Ubuntu 16.04, 64 bits the linux sdk: ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-02.00.02.11-Linux-x86-Install.bin

I created a sdcard using the create-sdcard.sh script run with sudo rights.

When I boot on the board from the card nothing happens.

Can you try with another SD card? Make sure also you are aligned with the below wiki pages:

processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Linux_Getting_Started_Guide

I tested with another 2 different cards and I confirm the bug.
Am335x does not boot with linux 2.0.

Do you test only with AM335x StarterKit board?

The PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X 02_00_02_11 should work fine for AM335x EVM, StarterKit and BBB.

Do you use the pre-built binaries (MLO, u-boot)? Make sure you configure the StarterKit sysboot pins for SD boot.

Pavel,

The device is the same which boot linux 3.
I wanted to make rollback at operating system.
I created the sd-card in the same way I created for linux 3:
sudo <sdk-path>/bin/create-sdcard.sh

The problem is that Ubuntu 16 is using newer version of fdisk than the script from PSDK2 is based. Please examine the create-sdcard.sh script from PSDK3, where Ubuntu 16 fdisk is handled properly:

parted -s $DRIVE mklabel msdos
parted -s $DRIVE unit cyl mkpart primary fat32 -- 0 9
parted -s $DRIVE set 1 boot on
parted -s $DRIVE unit cyl mkpart primary ext2 -- 9 -2

So you can use the create-sdcard.sh script from PSDK3. See also the below e2e thread:

I followed your advice and use the script for linux 3 to install linux 2.
I copied <sdk-linux3>\bin\create-sdcard.sh into <sdk-linux2>/bin/create-sdcard.sh
And in linux 2 I edited the script
replace
ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-03.00.00.04/
with
ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-02.00.02.11/
After that I run sudo <sdk-linux2>/bin/sd-card.sh
I inserted the sd-card into am335x and it booted!
Success!
So the bug was from my host Ubuntu 16.04 not from linux 2 image.
I am closing the bug because is solved.
