Hi,

Searching the net has led me to believe that there is a new IPNC_RDK version out there.

I am currenly using v3.8 and it has many bugs that I've fixed and others that I still have to deal with.

How can I get the IPNC_RDK v3.9 sources? Specifically I need updated kernel drivers.

Now that I've downloaded the 2.1GB file - IPNC-RDK-CSK-3.9.0-Linux-x86-Install.bin - I can't figure out how to extract it.

I tried in Windows and also in Linux.

According to the site "http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/IPNC_RDK_DM38x_,_DM8127"

The following three files are installed:

ImageTuningTool_V3.00.01.00.zip
IPNC_RDK_InstallGuide.pdf
IPNC_RDK_3.9.0.tar.gz

From My experience with IPNC_RDK 3.5.0 and 3.8.0 I assume that the ImageTuningTool is for Windows and the IPNC_RDK_3.9.0.tar.gz is for Linux.

Please help!

The bin file is an installer. Make sure its permissions are set to make it executable and then run it from your Linux shell.

How should i execute it?

I just kicked off a download so I can try it out myself. It may be close to an hour before I can answer though due to the long download time.

What's the md5sum of your bin file?

Your md5sum matches mine, though I can execute the installer just fine:

The issue must then be related to your Linux PC setup. Are you using 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04 or later as listed in the Requirements?

Well at least the CRC matches. I started another download just in case...
Are you in Ubuntu 32bit or 64bit?
I'm using a 32-bit VirtualMachine - maybe that's why it won't run?

IPNC-RDK-CSK-3.9.0-Linux-x86-Install.bin installer execute fine on my host machine also. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit.

I have the same md5sum:

FYI, our Linux SDK's utilize the Linaro toolchain which ONLY supports 64-bit hosts, so we have dropped 32-bit support from the SDKs/installers as well. 64-bit Linux is a must.
