Hi there,

Currently I am working with the OMAP-L137 EVM. I am building an application in which the DSP should collect and process data, and the ARM provides a web interface and storage facilities for this data. I am using CCSv5 and SYS/BIOS 6 for both cores. I have found and ported the PSP 1.3 to SYS/BIOS 6, and the DSP can successfully serve a web page using the NDK. I can also run the MessageQ examples to communicate between DSP and ARM. Now I would like the ARM to take over the ethernet and storage tasks, but I have found no driver that will let me do this for the ARM. The forums suggest the PSP 2.x includes drivers for the ARM, but I cannot find it anywhere. The DSP drivers fail to compile on the ARM ('<tistdtypes.h> is not supported for this target', amongst other errors).

How would I go about achieving my goal? I really want/need to use SYS/BIOS on the DSP, and downgrading my CCS is not really an option either. Is PSP 2.x available anywhere? PSP 3.x only seems to support a single target (C6748).

Do you have any other suggestions as to how to collect data from the SYS/BIOS 6 DSP and store/serve them on the ARM?

Rembrand,

You can use Ipc/Syslink to move data between the Arm and DSP. What are you running on the Arm?

Its a pet peive of mine that TI doesnt have drivers for the ARM. I ended up porting the drivers from the DSP to the ARM. I got pretty good at it. Basically the biggest change is in how they handle Interrupts. Very different between the two. Most of the drivers I have ported the ISR setup has been pretty isolated so once found it wasnt too bad to rewrite for the ARM.

The biggy I still have to do is the EDMA stuff. While it looks like it is pretty close as is to running on the ARM its not quiet soup yet.

So my recomendation is to port the driver yourself.

To save time I ended up running Linux on the ARM core, I have not tried using Syslink for communication yet. I did manage to get the Ethernet driver running on the ARM core by porting the DSP version. Like Mike said, the biggest change was the interrupt handling. Thanks!

Do you know where to download the BIOS PSP release compatible for OMAP-L13x with SYS/BIOS 6.x? Because I need use the sata modle and I really need it eagerly.
