DSP/BIOS legacy API libs missing in SYS/BIOS 6.40

Hello,

the libraries for the DSP/BIOS legacy API seem to be missing in SYS/BIOS 6.40.01.15. I couldn't find anything about this change in the release notes.

The source code is still there and the libraries can be built by renaming the "package.bld,nobld" files under "bios_6_40_01_15\packages\ti\bios(/support)" to "package.bld".

Hi Ralf,

For compatibility with SYS/BIOS 6.34 and older the source is provided so the customer can rebuild it. However, we encourage SYS/BIOS users to transition to full SYS/BIOS APIs.

Hi Emmanuel,

the legacy libraries were also missing in 6.35.00/01, but this was a bug which was fixed in 6.35.02 (SDOCM00100800).

Is the legacy API officially removed now?
If yes, in which version was it removed, I guess 6.40?

The legacy APIs are not being officially removed yet, but they will be in the future (still no definite SYS/BIOS version).
