TI-API: Pre-production Apruve Account ID

Hi, we have generated a Client ID and Secret for API 2.0 but it only works against the production server and our production apruve account id.

How do I get a pre-production apruve account id? And do I need a pre-production Client ID/Secret pair as well or should the one key pair work for both pre-production and production environments?

Thanks reach out to API Support.

Unlike v1 API where one had to pass in "test Apruve ID" when testing in Sandbox env, with v2 API you can use your production Apruve ID in the checkout profile.

When testing Order create please make sure put "/test" at the end of the call (https://api-portal.ti.com/store-order-api#/TI%20store%20test%20order/post_store_orders_test)... As long as you are placing a test order, the API call will not impact or place any hold on your Apruve ID.

Can we still use the https://transact-pre.ti.com/ API also for pre-production?

No. with V2 API, since we are providing "/test" end points there is no needed to use https://transact-pre.ti.com/ . all API calls (production or sandbox/testing) will be done by calling https://transact.ti.com

I do think it's possibly worth noting that using a suffix ("/test") to denote pre-production could be a dangerous approach, especially when it's only applicable to certain endpoints. It means that I cannot create a global tag to apply to all API calls during testing vs production. If you're taking suggestions, I would submit using some kind of global prefix to the API endpoints. It's safer and, in my experience, much more accepted pattern.
