ADS127L21EVM-PDK: ADS127L21EVM-PDK

Part Number: ADS127L21EVM-PDK

Tool/software:

Dear Texas Instruments Support,

We are currently using the ADS127L21EVM-PDK board from Texas Instruments, along with the PHI controller, for a PC-based automated data acquisition project. After a thorough analysis of the installed environment, we have identified that the critical DLL tiPHIChar.dll is responsible for communication with the hardware, but unfortunately, no documentation or usage examples have been provided for programmatic integration.

We have already carried out all possible steps on our side, including:

  • Inspection of the installed libraries using diagnostic tools (e.g., to identify exported functions);

  • Review of the official Texas Instruments GitHub repositories.

Unfortunately, support through the TI E2E forum has been slow and has not provided the necessary information, which is now directly impacting the delivery schedule of our project.

We therefore respectfully request immediate support from a TI Field Application Engineer (FAE) or access to the documentation of the tiPHIChar.dll, even under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), so we can proceed with the required integration.

We are fully available to provide logs, screenshots, or any other technical details that may help accelerate this process.

We sincerely appreciate your support and ask that this request be treated with the highest priority.

Sincerely,

  • Hi jose passarelli,

    Unfortunately, we are not able to share the firmware on the PHI controller board; the code is completely different from the example code, not well documented, and does not directly communicate with the ADC (it communicates with the FPGA hardware, which emulates a 'mini' logic analyzer and pattern generator).

    How is this impacting your delivery schedule of project? You can easily connect an external controller to the L21EVM so you can write your own drivers, we even provide example code to that end. Are you intending to use either the EVM or the controller card as part of a production system?

    -Bryan
