Can we use your current UI/API screens/Developer Portal to create the Real/Actual Part Subscription

Our IT teams are developing API Enablement in the two phases. Phase -1: Use the TI API/Developer Portal to do the Inventory search, if the Part is unavailable, Create an API call to Subscription Alert for that Part on the TI provided Page(TI API Portal). We don't want to use any IT solution or tools(such as postman) from our side. We want to leverage only TI API links provided in your developer portal.

In Phase -II: Our IT teams will do Technical Questions.docxfull automation.

Can we use your current UI/API screens/Developer Portal to create the Real/Actual Part Subscription? We have documented our steps in the attached document. We want to double-check our approach, kindly validate.

  • Hi Stephen,

You can use the process you outlined to create and manage real alerts on the production system. The issue you may have, however, is it that you will need an API endpoint on your side to receive the notifications that TI sends. To receive the alerts, you will need to identify the server that TI should send the alerts to, as well as other attributes, in the myTI dashboard / API keys and access screen:

So, if you have an API end point for TI to send alerts to, then you can use the API Portal to setup the subscriptions.

But if that's not possible until your phase 2, you can still subscribe to the email notifications that are available on ti.com for out of stock parts:

I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Paul
