TCAN332: vs SN65HVD234

Part Number: TCAN332
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD234

Hi Team,

my customer want to use the TCAN332 instead of SN65HVD234. The do not use Pin 5 (Enable) andPin 8 (Slope control). The Baudrate is 250kBit.

Are there significant differences that could be problematic?

  • Jan,

The bus fault voltage is the biggest difference, as well as the integrated ESD protection. If the customer is okay with this, then the replacement should be fine.
