TUSB212: USB Redriver for Type-C

Hello,

Which USB redriver product would you recommend for USB Type-C? If the destination USB port is USB 2, I guess the TUSB21x family is just fine because only D+/D- signals are used for data communication.

The second question if you agree is, what are the differences among the TUSB21x devices? I think TUSB211 or TUSB212 is just fine to simply serve as signal conditioner.

The last one is, can the TUSB211 and TUSB212 be used without any register setting?

    Hi,

    TUSB21x works with USB Type-C for USB 2 applications. TUSB212 has greater redriving capability over TUSB211. I would recommend using our latest TUSB216I which works as a signal conditioner and BC 1.2 controller. All devices can be used without any register settings. Options can be selected through pin strap. .
