Hello,

I need to do a medium conversion from

1000 base KX signals to 1000 Base T

10 G base KX to 10G Base T

which parts do I need for that. Are there some reference designs I could look at?

Hi Andreas,

Coding between these two specifications are different. Typically FPGAs are used to do conversion between KX and Base T. At TI, we do not have such a device to do this conversion.

Hi Andreas,

TLK10031 converts quad lane XAUI to differential 10G-KR and vice versa. Base-T electrical interface is different from XAUI interface.

Hi Nasser, sure, but can I convert XAUI with a PHY to 10 GBase-T?

so I am thinking of a chain like that

10 G-KR < TI-TLK10031-> XAUI <-MARVELL88X3310 -> 10 GBase-T
