SN65MLVD203B: 1.8V IO compatibility

Hi team

I noticed that TI MLVDS device is not able to support 1.8V FPGA IO and usually it needs a additional level translator.

Now the customer is considering SN65MLVD203B in a 1.8V FPGA IO system, could you help recommend a correct level translator for this application?

I roughly found bidirectional LSF0101 and unidirectional SN74AXC1T45 should be good choices for this application.

But could you help check whether SN74AVC8T245 is suitable for this application? This device is also used on other projects and the customer wants to try this device first.

Hi,

Why do you need a 8-bit level shifter? You can use SN74AXC1T45 single-bit level shifter.

Emmm... SN74AXC1T45 is used in their old projects and the customer wants to do a EVM to test the MLVDS performance first.

From the view of spec, are these three device both applied to this application?

If you compare the electrical characteristics in section 6.5, these two devices are not the same.
