The customer said that there was no issue with the 1G link connection when connecting with other PHY ICs.

Does the customer still need to check the cable in this case?

The customer had this issue with straight cable, but not with cross cable.

Thank you for the schematics. For the isolation transformer, we recommend customers to use connectors without the CT shorted.. The shorted CT sometimes results in increased link up time.

Can you please check if customer would be able to tests with an R45 connector without

The customer cannot test requested above.

Is CT shorted the cause of 1G link error for E2500 device?

If yes, please explain why.

The customer believes that the link error should occur regardless of device if it is dut to CT shorted.

These are general observation and recommendations on the magnetics that we provide. There are no prior reported issues that i could look into with E2500 to confirm this as the cause.

The customer had this issue with straight cable, but not with cross cable. I assume this was a full cross cable.
