May I know it works or not?

After power on --> MCU read cable attenuate data from cable EEPOM --> MCU set DS125BR820 EEPROM data --> reset DS125BR820 and loading DS125BR820 EEPOM setting.

Greetings Peter,

Register settings is programmed into the EEPROM. Then after power on reset, DS125BR820 fetches EEPROM data and turn all done signal asserted.

Let me double check it, the 2nd step is clear that after power reset, the EEPROM data will be load into BR820 while in I2C master mode.

How about the 1st step? Is it able to read the cable EEPROM first and programmed the EEPROM of BR820 before reset BR820 to load its EEPROM date?

Hi Peter,

Yes device reads from the EEPROM but it cannot program the EEPROM. EEPROM programming has to be done through an external EEPROM programmer.
