TRS213: TRS213ID V- connect to

Hi Team,

My customer got question that they connect V- pin to Vcc  (the correct connect is connect to GND),

however they do not see issue with RS-232 communication and not difference with Tx waveform. 

Customer would like check if any potential risk if they connect V- to Vcc, and how to verify this issue?
